Ranger Phibbons takes 1st. in womans division at Wheeler shoot

Tucson Company Ranger, Jan Phibbons, took first place in the womans division combat finals at the Second Annual Captain Harry Wheeler Memorial Shoot in Tombstone, Arizona.

The Combat competition was divided into 3 Stages. Each stage included shooting metal targets and bowling pins. Some of the targets were droppers and others drop downs and any target shot out of sequence earned a 50 point penalty. Targets were shot from a starting position drawing from the holster and the course continued with shooting from a barricade.

The final stage included shooting a targetwhile running for cover. Ranger Phibbons came in 4th place overall in the Combat competition using her Glock model 34 tactical 9mm handgun.

Over 50 participants from 10 different companies compeated in the event including Harry Wheeler's granddaughter Pamela Hamlett and author David DeSoucy.
